Cold Idle - 80 PSI @ 1,000rpm
Hot idle - 35/40 PSI @ 1,000rpm
Hot 3K+ rpm - 80 PSI @ anything above 3,000 rpm

What revs does your car idle at? Standard is around 800rpm I take it yours runs a bit higher?

2.5 bar is high for idle but then it is a built engine so WTF do I know :lol:

I need a slightly higher idle for two reasons; the car actually might stall with anything lower due to the fruity cams etc., and the slightly higher idle improves oil flow rate for cooling purposes when I come off track and the car is cooling down.

Oil pressure at idle may be higher in my engine due to its mods. For example when you remove the balance shafts and replace them with the kaizenspeed balance shaft removal kit, oil pressure is reportedly increased.

Indeed it does. Increase oil pressure is a good thing.
