In that case it sounds like the ignition timing hasn't been properly set. This may be the cause of your over fuelling symptoms if the timing is too retarded. You need to jump the service connector (the little blue two pin plug under the radio) to set the timing. By shorting the service connector and starting the engine it stops the ECU from adjusting the ignition timing. If you didn't do this the ECU will be compensating for any adjustments that were made and base ignition timing will be off.jonja wrote:whats service connector? and they did just turn distributor to set rpm'sMerlin wrote:When the ignition timing was set was the service connector shorted?
