wonder how many people use a shared computer at home, see this and panic into paying, but then i supose it would again sit dormant for a while just to come back at a later date - suckers

hey just had an even better idea for a virus, set up a dodgy porn sight with no porn, just the virus desguised as a vid, then hold there pc to ranson with the threat of reporting them if they dont pay knowing full well there hard drive must be full of porn or they wouldnt have downloaded the virus in the first place

used avg for years but the other day stopped me using a regular program, so that went out the window

Avast was even worse

micrsoft essential ticks the boxes for me, which shocked me abit

yep youporn is nothing to do with youtube, its not really a porn site but just to install a virus on your system

I run windows and don't have any AV.

I'm careful where I go and what I do, and in 4 years I haven't had a single one.

true, unless they steal paswords or key loggers, the one thing i did find from all this though, is the av vendors are just as bad as the ransomware, that is they all offer a free scan and yes they do find the problems but when you clic fix problems they also demand money

so to me there no different
