this is a pic of std 4th gen tb on my BB1- you can see one of the small hoses marked number 21takes a feed from the throttle body to the pipes that run to the MAP sensor or vaccum thingy on the firewall - this is what im trying to replicate on the 5th gen TB :) looking at it again it might be a connection to the vaccum thingy :)
I hope ive got that right :?

If it were me I'd leave the 62mm TB MAP sensor as it is (or block it off) and use the spare vacuum port left over from when you disconnected the intake control solenoid valve (the vacuum line that opens the diaphragm for the intake resonator). The spare vacuum port, which probably still has a bit of hose connected to it, is situated on the rear drivers side of the IM. There should be two vacuum ports right next to each other, one is for the intake control solenoid valve (not used on your car) and the other is to the EVAP purge control valve.

That way it is less of a bodge, looks cleaner and less likely to leak vacuum. The MAP sensor can be plugged into any vacuum port, my MAP sensor is plugged into one for the rear vacuum ports on my 5th gen IM (which as you know is in my 4th gen).

H23 and 4th gen H22 vacuum diagram from the net as the one in the H22 service manual is crap

thats a nice bit of detail there and it makes sense :) especially as i have removed the resonator already :)
i was hesitating as i wasnt sure if that bodged bit of pipe would do the job

pity the intake i got had the map sensor already removed (i think it went to 4th gen phil :bat: )

edit: i guess blanking it off should be fairly straight forward

just wanted to close this out.
blanking off the 5th gen 62mm tb was easy - i used a plastic push rivet :)
installed at T connector as shown in pic below and job was done.
results are good ;)

pic showing t connector (4th gen 60mm tb still in place)

hope this helps anyone thinking of doing the same
bear in mind i had already removed the air intake resonator and associated vaccum tank and lines ;) Shown as item 8 in merlins post above
