how much does a box go for, uuummmm real cheap. i have one in my shed, but you will have to wait as there may be a new owner, if you need a cheap box let me know and i will confirm if its still avalible or not (depending on where you are too) mine is in worcestershire (midlands).

4g,s do suffer but it tends to be the lsd boxes that suffer

If you slam reverse in, when it does not want to, you eventually bend the selection fork for 5th gear and reverse. This makes selecting reverse harder and gives 5th gear crunch at speed as the syncro is now misaligned. Due to the bending... you know when reverse does this guys. each and everyone of us.

If reverse does not slip in first try you must:

1/ return selector to N position and let out clutch. try again.

or

2/ let out clutch a little while gently attempting to select reverse.

Either of these will rotate the gearbox a notch or two and allow the gears to mesh.

When in 4th and accelerating you must just take twice as long selecting 5th. slip it in gently.

sometimes you dont have to F**K her hard. ;)
6th gen Prelude please Mr Honda. RWD 2.4 turbo lude.

Maybe 1/10 I have to do option 1. Never had 5th gear crunch because I don't find myself wanting to slam it into 5 really. Driving hard (so I guess staying in VTEC) in 4th then change into 5th you're doing 100+ at around 5k revs in the M2P4.
