TCS is mostly mistaking with system what should give you more traction, but true is that this system only prevent vehicle from spinning.
TCS simply cuts power.
EPS/VSC/ASR/Nanny FRED does the trick brake application thang as well, so is more sophisticated.
Still won't save you if you drive like a total twunt, though.
I cannot see either being much use on a 'Lude - only fairly powerful RWD cars really need then to stop one being 'caught out'. I've only ever activated my TCS deliberately by driving like a twunt, though. Sometimes it's useful to get the tail out...
