Not hard to do can be done in a half a day with axle stands,
Leave the drive cups on the box to save mess. Just pop the shaft with the 3 bearnings out if the cup, the cups just prise out from the box, quite easily, put the gearbox on a stand turn it on its side, pop out the cup and let all the oil drain into a bucket, pop the other cup out and stick them on your new box they just slot in.
