Carrisma you have the same car as me and I am leaving my one in place on my 5th. The H22a8 / M2P4 pulls very well from low down in 2nd & 3rd and any "extra" torque is best used here.

I removed the resonator on my 4th to release any top end grunt and also because my resonator valve had seized.

This is my dyno results for both of my cars on the same dyno. While it isn't definitive, IMO it could serve as a nice indicator ;)

5G = Stock 99+
4G = Modded BB4 with H22a2 swap

Pull back the driver side wheel arch liner and blip the engine to over 5K RPM. You should see the valve move.
