Just spoke to customer services, they said the system was hacked and they would not honour it.

I've just received this email:

Dear Customer,

Booking cancellation – Bridgestone tyres with £0.00 order value

We would like to apologise for the error on our website over this weekend and early today which incorrectly showed the price of some Bridgestone Turanza ER300 tyres as £0.00. This was a genuine website error and unfortunately we cannot honour any bookings made for these tyres. Due to the number of bookings we have received, it may not be possible for your centre to contact you personally to cancel your booking, so please accept this email as cancellation of your booking.

We do not sell tyres at £0.00 value at any time and Bridgestone tyres advise us that the ER300 pattern tyre was superseded some time ago and therefore these aren’t a pattern available in current range.

Please accept our sincere apologies for this error, however if you should wish to book an alternative tyre type we would be pleased to receive your order and please visit http://www.halfordsautocentres.com/tyres.

What a surprise!!!

Now, is it a genuine error or just a ploy to get you back onto their site?

And now they've got the data on everybody who applied. Time to see if my junk mail increases, I think!

Web Price:
£0.00each

Which I guess they won't honour, but still lol
I know this is an old post, but I got something similar for tyres I was buying and came over here from a Google search and apparently they legally don't need to oblige. gutted as I had gone to the branch to get them fitted and was told if I want them I have to pay LOL

Can't blame a guy for trying

Thats right, the advertised price is merely an 'invitation to treat', and a legal contract only exists when consideration occurs. Additionally it could also be argued that a price of zero offers no consideration, which is a factor required for a binding contract.

Don't most sites or Ads have "E&OE" printed on them somewhere also? i.e. "Errors and Omissions Excepted".

Probably in the T&Cs somewhere rather than in plain sight.
