i can see what your trying to achieve but as mudgey says your oil return is not under pressure so if it were going straight to the oil cooler the oil being pumped around the oil cooler from your engine would be fighting against what is returning from the turbo and thats not what you want. don't forget the temp of the oil will go up not just from the oil returning from the turbo but because the engine will run hotter with a turbo anyway.

i was sat outside the pub when this topic cropped up and i finished my pint and came home just to do that :lol: sad really but i can always go back later, could do with a shower and change after a crap day in work painting a fecking plug cover and half my hand tram road orange
