it has to go all the way down into your chest and round the aortic arch and then all the way back up to your throat. This is from a time when our hearts were right next to our brains and the larynx was used for something entirly different. As we evelved the nerve could not cross the Aorta or snap and rejoin so it just had to get longer and longer and longer to accomodate our development of a chest and other organs (like lungs )It is a good argument against creationism due to its obvious ''ghetto fix'' aspect. What creator would make it that bloody obtuse?
