They should just get rid of VED, average it out and stick it on fuel. Then those that drive/pollute the most pay the most.

I think that's probably where the problem lies. Not enough people know that and the majority that do don't care enough to try get it changed. The general view of 'they won't listen to me' or 'well what can I really do' overrides any chance there is to even get people together on it. When you look at what's going on in Ukraine it puts us to shame really :lol: we allow a this fee we pay to be used for whatever the gov wants, when the source of it is drivers. It should be paid by the drivers, for driving related stuff. I'm sure the masses would be pissed of they found out the TV licence goes towards bin collection or something.

Its only £200ish pounnds a year. :lol: 1 tank of fuel in my van per week is £100 FOR 600 odd miles. Ill be alright.

Maybe capping the fee after a certain period makes more sense.

I think if you have a car over 25 years old and its in full running condition it should be exempt of roadtax. simple.
