Wow!

New PCV in, the hesitation has gone, and as Merlin says, the car definitely feels much perkier 8-)

Just to think, I was very close to forking out to have it Terraclean-ed ;)

Well worth the change over!

yes catch tanks are worth it but you need to fill them full of something for the vapour to condence around or you are just hoping to catch everything on the sides. A load of cheap thin chain or my personal favorite a scouring pad pulled open and stuffed into the tank. This gives plenty of surface area with little or no constriction.

Guys just clean it, you literally pull the elbow shaped PCV out of the top of the rocker cover and flush it through with some carb cleaner or similar. You'll hear it rattle when it's clean as it's basically a ball bearing.
I've done this for years, it's still the original PCV as far as I know.
Hell of a lot cheaper than buying one!

True enough...I've cleaned my old one to keep as a quick swap over when needed ;)

Talking of Terraclean.. has anyone had this done on an old engine? I'd be afraid of waking up new problems..
