We came off the pass and stayed the night in Barcelonnette.
Our next planned stop was to the north. Naturally, we headed west. There was a lake we wanted to look at, the Lac de Serre-Ponçon.
Back on route, we suffered an enforced stop on the Col d'Izoard when the Integra's engine started to run very hot. There are worse places to take a break, I suppose.
The Col's summit sits at 2361m ...
... and we think these may be France's highest public toilets:
Briançon is a short distance northwest of Izoard. It claims to be France's highest city. We couldn't vouch for that, but we found the old town to be pretty interesting.
