Finally got them apart. Luckily my neighbour has every tool known to man, so I borrowed one of the splitters that you twist a bolt to grip the stud, then bash with a hammer to shock the joint apart. Worked in no time :)

So lesson learnt, don't cheap out on tools, buy the right one and life will be easy. Buy a crap tool like I did and be prepared for hours of punishment and misery

I tried the ratchet trick btw, couldn't get it to work. Even with the suspension fully loaded you couldn't get the ratchet head in there, and even with the handle in there which did fit, all 14 stone of me jumping on the wheel and then falling off like a kebab made no difference

Not looking forward to putting it all back together again!! Might be a chance to give the suspension a thorough going over though. Problem is the folks are rushing me, on account of me taking up all this space

My dad chased me up the drive the first time I put a car on the lawn  after so long of only having one concrete space left we park on the grass now, he's given up :P

If it was my garden it'd be wall to wall Hondas 8-) I'm already figuring out how to get maximum cars in mine and my girlfriends new house, a BB1 has come up for sale 5 miles down the road and I want it
