I upgraded to a S2k steering wheel. and mounted my original cruise switches.Bri wrote:can anybody point me to a link or how to keep 4ws and cruise while swapping to an after market steering wheel please, I remember something about notches or something but that was on PUK, I remember Alex TopPreludes car but cant remember how where or when he got it sorted.
Cheers
prelude_h22 did a bit of a write up, which gave me the idea. Here's a link to my post.

Re: 4ws boss & cruise controll help
Im pretty sure that boss isn't for 4WS, i think those notches are for the indicators and the 4WS boss has a 3rd notch for the angle sensor.

FrontBackSide2Side is right. Theres a third notch at 90 degrees to the other two. I used a dremel to grind one in when I changed my wheel. From memory it was about 6mm deep x 10mm wide. I just copied the one off my standard wheel after i removed it. Still got my original so I will take a photo and post it. Give me 10 minutes.FrontBackSide2Side wrote:Im pretty sure that boss isn't for 4WS, i think those notches are for the indicators and the 4WS boss has a 3rd notch for the angle sensor.
Edit. Photos added. Apologies for the quality. I took them on my phone which doesn't have the best camera.

There was a place in Austrailia on ebay that was selling 4ws & cruise prelude boss's but obviously the shipping charge was really high.
Basically you need a notch for the 4ws and you need 2 extra buttons on the boss or on the wheel for the set and decel for the cruise.
or you can re-wire the cruise buttons to somewhere else or the car
