I did mine recently (BGA kit) and used dabs of sealant on the cam corners as Honda state. You want to use as little as you can get away with really. The hardest part is getting the cover back on with the seal in place, it likes to drop out in places.

yep like Tim says dabs at all 4 corners and a small bead over the humps at both ends
its one of these jobs where an extra pair of hands makes it so much easier to get the rocker cover on and in place first time.
No leaks from mine and i fitted the kit from BGA a couple of weeks ago - its been a long time since ive had a non leaking rocker cover -nice :)

Fitted the new seals / gaskets after work today. I used sealant along the sides where the cams go. Will be driving The Lude tomorrow. Time will tell if it's stopped haemorrhaging oil.

I bought another BGA kit and replaced all seals again on Tuesday this week. Last week when I fitted the new seals, I lost one of the spark plug orifice seals / O-rings, so I re-used an old one and subsequently it was leaking which is why I had to replace the lot.

If anyone wants three spark plug orifice seals / O-rings and the valve cover gasket which have done approx only 115 miles over 7 days (driven on only 3 of those 7 days), I'll happily send them to you if you cover P&P.
