I think I've actually got the manual for mine at home as well, so I can check that for part numbers for you.
I sold my kit for the 5th last year but if I remember right there it a metal clip shaped like a fallen on its side H. It slots into the cross bars and then clips to the short roof adapter in a ying yang fashion if you get me? They clip together on the two brackets shown in the pic either side of the roof connector.
