Have you done the break in miles yet? Have you been able to fully shift properly?

Only put 100 or so miles on the clutch. Car judders quite bad on overrun when slowing down.

Judders? Was it a brand new flywheel you used or did you get your old one skimmed? Even if you didn't get it skimmed I don't think that would be enough for it to judder :? You'd think if it was juddering through loosing friction it would slip when you put any power through it. Unless you think there is a different cause :?

I didn't get any juddering when I installed my 4 puk with a skimmed Fidanza flywheel. I gave it 300 miles to get some of the clutch material to bed on the flywheel before I gave it the mad beanz.

We just sand papered the old fidanza flywheel to remove the hot spots. If your Comming to a set if traffic lights and your in 4th gear at 40mph and you slow down the car judders/kangaroos quite bad. You can feel the engine pushing in and out with the clutch. Just easier to slow down through the gears then hit neutral before I stop in 2nd gear.

But no slip and feels great. Although 4th down to 3rd is a bit notchy now. Almost like it fall out if gear as you change.

My bro in law has the same clutch on his mk4 golf and he said his was similar until 1k miles on it and it's now great.

I get that as well, too much powa!

You didn't get the same sensation with the old clutch? Maybe you old clutch slipped a little and that the increased pressure of this uprated pressure plate is able to keep the clutch fully engaged?

Yer is suspect that could be the case.

Its not a problem. I just need to adjust my driving style around town a little.

However i have stalled less on this clutch than i did on the old. The biting point is very quick on the CC and that seems to suit the lightweight flywheels nicely where the old ATR clutch has some leeway and it stalled it trying to find the longer biting point.

Are you going to change the title of this thread at some point? It needs a "y" to fit the "Finger of Fudge" tune I get running through my head whenever I read it. Please?
