4g headlamp polishing?

Post by Angus » Fri Nov 22, 2013 11:19 am

Anyone tried polishing their headlamps with one of those 3M hand-drill-pad kits or similar?

I did the Accord lights recently, and they came up really well - but they're that plain-looking plastic, whereas the Lude ones have an obvious surface layer of protecting film on them.

Yeah, it works, but that film needs to be removed first. Most people actually start with reasonably abrasive sandpaper then work back. A few guides around if you have a hake.

i bought some plastic polish from ebay i cannot remember who made it but it had a NATO label on it and they said it is used on the cockpit windows on jet fighters. i used it on my headlamps and it worked really well.

I sanded my 5th gen headlights. I worked up to fine and then polised it by hand and it turned out good. There is a wrtite up in the Wiki I think.
