H23 Supercharging

Post by prahunt » Mon Aug 25, 2014 2:01 pm

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has supercharged the H23 engine at all?
Seems to be a few H22 supercharged about, and it is a mod I am thinking about doing.

What work is involved? Is there a good garage around anyone would recommend? I am located around Bedfordshire but do not mind travelling for the good service?
Also what would people suggest to get done as well at the same time? Obviously upgraded brakes I would do, but I am not to sure about else. Haven't done any engine mods like this before so would appreciate any help.

Intake, headers & exhaust are a good place to start

My Lude has already got an upgraded exhuast system with decat. Manifold is as standard, but I have heard mixed reviews about changing them out and not really getting any extra gains.
There is also a long arm induction kit on it so that is sorted.

And hello, say you down the Bull yesterday. Haha

I was hoping you'd give it some out the car park so I could hear the Vtec kick in... :( but couldn't hear anything over the music.

Yeah I had a stupid Peagout up my arse as I left, soon left him behind when I stuck it down in 2nd and used the coilies on the roundabouts. Haha

And I shall source Ratty out. I've seen him crop up in a few threads, seems to have a wealth of knowledge. Cheers man.

You need to find a JRSC 1st. Good luck as they can really only be source from the US.

THere is a chap on Prelude power running a h23 VTEC JRSC Prelude. So you will need to to the H23 VTEC conversion 1st to see any real benefit on running a supercharged h23.
Other wise if your not doing the VTEC route i wouldnt bother with the charger.
IMO you will be fine with just a JRSC h22.
