passenger window problem

Post by snike77 » Thu Oct 23, 2014 9:43 am

Hi

last night my passenger window made a loud bang as i was closing it, then i noticed the glass had become out of alignment and had sort of popped out of the window frame

the motor was still working and trying to go up and down, but i stopped at the risk of smashing the glass

i then pulled it up and into line by hand and got it so it was water tight, and i havent touched it since

when i was trying to make it go up and down with the switch, the skin of the door was being pushed in and out by the mechanisam inside, and now when i close the door it sounds like there is a load of broken parts just loosley sitting inside the door itself

has anyone had any trouble like this, and if so what was the solution

thanks

Take the door card off and have a look, either the glass has unbolted itself from the runner, or one of the guides has done the same thing.

If you are really unlucky, one of the bolt holders may have unbonded itself from the glass, but you'll only know exactly what it is if you take a look.
