HELP :( L(

Post by weegarry41 » Fri Jan 15, 2016 1:38 pm

Hi, I'm a new mk5 owner and I'm having some issues, the car has been off the road for 2 years and was in need of some real tlc, when I purchased it it started no problem, now it just cuts out, it wont hold a start, my thinking is its the ignition barrel, has anyone else had this problem, if so where the hell can I get a new barrel :( any info is much appreciated!

Isn't this the one they had the recall for? It's the switch on the back of the ignition barrel?

It connects to back of barrel. Only the tip of key goes into it.
