Undercoating/Protecting Arches

Hello!

I've been looking into undercoating the arches and underside of the Lude to protect it over the winter months. I've never done undercoating before and outside of forums there doesn't seem to be a huge amount of information so I was wondering if anyone had any advice or tips?

My plan is:
Jet wash with Surfex HD in the arches and underside
2 750ml cans of Dynax S50 for two coats on the arches
Deox gel on underside surface rust to treat it
2 tins of Dynax UB to coat the underside

How does this sound, any steps I've missed?
Should I put any etch primer over any areas I deox to help protect it?
Should I remove the arch liners and seal behind them, seal over them or both?
Anywhere else that needs doing? Worth taking the sills off and doing those too?

I will be documenting as I go so hopefully I can put together a reference for other users if all goes well as there's very little information I could find about rust protecting Ludes.

I dont know what those products are, but any rust needs to be ground back to 100% clean metal, if there is any pitting you can't get into then put hydrate 80 over it,

Any bare steel needs to be coated with an etch primer or a direct to metal epoxy. Followed by a top coat, I prefer 2k paints, then a tin of stone chip if you want followed by your under seal of choice.

Inspect tge sills it's up to you if you want to coat the outside of them as it is messy stuff and not overly pleasant to look at. But injecting the sills with wax oil would be no harm at all.

Rust is a pain in the ass and often enough it comes back to bite you in the ass, make sure the bare steel is rubbed with a heavy grit sandpaper and is also heated to take any moisture out of it.

It's easy to do a quick job but it takes time to do the right job.
