After 10 years my car's headlights were looking quite tatty and let the rest of the car down. I sorted them by using advice from jules.pollock (http://preludeuk.forumup.com/viewtopic.php?t=5043) and Pushki77 (http://preludeuk.forumup.com/viewtopic. ... c&start=30). Many thanks to you both.
The products I used included:
- - P400 sandpaper,
- P1200 sandpaper,
- Autoglym Metal Polish then Autosol Metal Polish after that ran out,
- 3M Finesse-it Material Polish (my Dad got some from work along with the sandpaper),
- Meguiar's Plast-RX (seems like it's had a name change as up until now it's been called Plast-X).

It took about a couple of hours on each headlight, over 3 evenings! I was a little scared at first with the thought of rubbing sandpaper over the headlights, knowing how much they cost to replace, but I did it and I'm very happy with the result. It wasn't as straight forward as starting from the top and working my way down through the listed products as after I finished or got half way through, I then decided it wasn't good enough so started again, this happened a few times, usually starting again from the P1200 stage then working from there. However, the above list is the recommended order they should be used in.
