remote locking ecu location???

first of all i hope this is in the right place, sorry if not

anyway, I've had problems with my remote locking since i bought the car over a year and a half ago so I've recently picked up a new fob and remote locking ecu. I just don't know where it lives. also is it as simple as swapping them over or is there a special procedure? thanks

It's definitely under the dash board somewhere. Can't remember which side

It's in the drivers rear quarter panel. Rear seats out and the trim pops off.
