Ive got a couple of issues with the steering wheel in the BB1 :thumbdown:
1)Its not nice and the foam or rubber inside has come loose in places.
2)Its off centre after the last alignment :wave: im waving at CLCM in Edinburgh....

Ideally i would like to swap to a leather oem wheel and set it back to straight ahead.
The BB1 has 4ws, driver airbag and cruise control so i would like to retain them if possible. Also looking for any help and advice what best oem option and aftermarket is available and should i retain the airbag :? :)

Post up pics of what youve got in your 4th gens

i have 4th gen leather steering wheel but its not got an airbag - would be good if i could just swap the airbag over :? not sure if this is possible...

Unfortunately it is not.

There is an airbag steering wheel with cruise on ebay at the moment.

I think my steering wheel has the same issue as yours, the rubber/leather spins around the metal frame?

If you want to part with the non airbag wheel, let me know as I would absolutely be interested. ;)

thanks for info - yeah the rubber foam rotates on the frame at certain points and it just looks drab - find me a leather airbag steering wheel and i can swap the non air bag one ;) the other option for me is to delete the airbag on the steering wheel altogether - mmm not sure if id want a 30 years old airbag going off in my face anyway :lol:
the leather non airbag wheel i have is in minto condition and has cruise - it looks and feels so much better that the airbag one....

I'd cover the cost of the one on eBay as a replacement. ;)

Alternatively, I've just messaged a contact I have in Europe about both types, he has a boat load of spares. @raymondhonda
