Fraserburgh location for "Life of Pi"

Been in the press a bit, this. The boat on the below Life of Pi poster is actually the "Sovereign", a fishing boat which ran onto the rocks on the approach to Fraserburgh harbour in about 2005.

As an ex-Fraserburgh fishery officer, I can in no way confirm that the skipper was a bit very drunk and mistook the nearby beacon for the harbour lead-in light, steering to the left of it onto the rocks - instead of to the right, which would have given him a clear run home.

... although the Sovereign doesn't look much like that anymore. Even my pic below was taken 2 or 3 years ago ... nowadays it's getting pretty rusty with nothing worth salvaging:
