Type S Spoiler - Where can i get one.

Post by pbryant_knight » Tue Jul 02, 2013 12:34 pm

Hi Guys,

Been looking at the smaller type S spoilers and have a few questions.

Is it a direct replacement for the stock spoiler ie: use the same mounting holes?

How rare are these, how easy/costly will it be to get one?

I had the Mugen spoiler on my last Lude but to be honest, it looked great from the rear and sides, but as soon as you got a bit higher and realised it covered half the boot it was like Urghhh.

Not a direct fit. You will either have to drill 2 new holes in the middle of the bootlid or cut the 2 middle threads off the spoiler.
Also the brake light needs to be fed through the middle via a large holes so that definatly needs drilling.

As long as the end holes were the same that would have been fine. As long as the boot didn't need filling or re-painting to fit it.

Not much point though if they are that rare. Chances are i won't be able to get one.

Might have to make a spoiler out of wood like i did for my old Green Lude. Toom ages though and don't know if i can be bothered to do it again. laminite flooring has a ton of uses lol.

Type-R

S-Spec (mid wing) spoiler is direct fit over the standard spoiler, just need to cut of one thread from the spoiler. Even the wiring is the same.
