TCS Type V Carbon Fibre Bonnet SOLD
Here for sale is my TC Sportline Type V carbon fibre bonnet. (for 4th gen)..
It is this bonnet basically - link.
As you can see, it has a large vent on the top, and it is plug-and-play, i.e. it is a direct replacement for an OEM bonnet with the latch thingumy at the front (no bonnet pins required). It also has 2 washer jets, all hooked up ready to attach to your existing washer hose.
It weighs in at just 9.76kg, a massive weight saving over the OEM steel bonnet!
I won't lie, it is in need of refurbishment. The surface is patchy, it has gone matt in most places where the lacquer has faded. When it is wet it looks great though! I bought it with the intention of refurbishing it but I have decided it doesn't suit my car and no longer wish to keep it.
Cosmetically it needs work, but structurally it is good (it has a slight bit of damage to the underside framework but the structure isn't affected).
It would be ideal for someone building a track Lude who would like to reduce weight without being too fussed about the looks.
I'm sure it could be made to look really good too though with a bit of work.
There is a gap down the side (nearside) where it doesn't sit flush...
It seems OK on the other side though...
In the pics I have fitted it slightly over to one side (offside) so it will probably fit a bit better overall with a bit of adjusting to make it more central. Plus, the use of bonnet pins may also help hold it down.
I am looking for just £100 delivered for it (carriage is looking to be around £50 alone!) .
Here is the obligatory name tag shot:
If you can collect from Middlesbrough, I will let it go for £60.
