Anyone into tabletop gaming?

Post by Confused » Thu Mar 28, 2013 4:20 pm

I've never been a fan of tabletop gaming - board games, card games etc - that is, until I found TableTop on Geek & Sundry

This ~30 minute web show, hosted by Wil Wheaton (Star Trek, The Big Bang Theory), shows Wil briefly explaining the game, and 3 friends join him to play it.

These games aren't your usual Monopoly or Scrabble, and you are typically involved until the very last turn of the game - some are even co-operative, where it's all players pitted against the game to try to win.

Because of this show... I've now spent a fair amount on a few games... my collection now contains:

Ticket To Ride
Munchkin
Settlers of Catan
Fluxx

With probably quite a few more to be added!

This weekend (Saturday 30th March) is "International TableTop Day" - the aim to get people together across the world playing games!

I'm having people round to mine from 8pm on Friday until we drop! ;) If anyone wants to join us over the weekend feel free, just get in touch if you're anywhere near Mansfield!! ;)

I have the traditional Munchklin game and all 8 expansion packs for that version.

Last time we played it, a couple of months ago, we had a 6 hour marathon.
