National meet. Tarpaulins and gazebos

Post by lewd lude lover » Thu Jul 12, 2012 10:54 pm

Ok so I have been out in the garden and measured up a bit.

Basically who has a tarpaulin or a gazebo they could bring?

so far we have three 3x3 meter gazebos and a couple of crappy tartaulins.

Im seriously looking at picking up one of these tomorrow:

gazebo

and a couple of these:

tarp

I would not be expecting to get full costs recovered from the donations for this obviously but any help would be appreciated. It would also then be usable for the shows and events etc.

If anyone has tarps though that would save £30.

and if anyone has a garden gazebo they could fit let me know asap so I can plan a cool tent city with mood lighting and sounds

I definitely have at least 1 smaller tarp I can bring.

If you check your Facebook post... I've currently got an 8x4m marquee and two sides (one long, one short) sat in my back garden I can bring - providing there's something suitable to anchor it down to - if anyone has any ratchet straps, please bring them! :)

^THIS

It is the JPOC one, so as long as we can anchor it securely so it doesn't get damaged we should be OK to use it.

:o great!

what im thinking is we put the gazebo up in the garden and tie it down and then we can nail a tarp to my carport roof and lay it over the top of the gazebo. that way we get another meter or so covered for free and the tarp takes all the weather. I also have plenty of heavy things about the place to tie ropes to.

does that sound ok?

Yeah, looking at the forecast it doesn't look too windy so we should be OK.

I'll speak to the guy who owns the marquee just to check it's OK, but I can't see why it wouldn't be given I've already got it from borrowing it for a previous gathering!

If the brizzle massive are bringing the JPOC mansion we should be fine without the buying of one. with your gazebo, and the two i have borrowed we can make a really good covered area. two extra big tarps will be a winner.

the layout of my place lends itself to inventive tarp tie-off's and covered walkways so i can see us having about 80% of the usable area covered by midday
