New Lude to the fold :)

Hi guys, just swopped my ropey MR2 for a lovely specimen of a G4 Lude!!
Yes it is Automatic, yes it is non Vtec, but I love it!!!! And the added bonus is that it is ROT FREE!!!!!!!
Plan is to eventually transplant a new engine and do a manual conversion but won't be for while yet
Been mooching around the pages for awhile now and got lots to do. Can anyone point me in the direction of where to get Aftermarket parts at prices that won't break the bank??
Kind of things I'm after are;
KMH to MPH dash conversion
New headlights
Bigger spoiler
Alloys
Exhaust
Coilovers or lowering springs
Possibly a body kit but not sure yet
Tomorrow I'm going to start with the a good polish and look at renewing the window rubbers
Then onto HID and LED conversions.
Also is this the standard exhaust or an Aftermarket one??
Cheers guys looking forward to some lude Love

Good choice - rot free is the key
That's a standard exhaust.
Someone is after one of those backboxes at the moment, so you should be able to sell that on
Do you want EL mph dials or ordinary mph dials?
If you want ordinary mph dials, I can help there.
I could also help with the exhaust, but only if you want it to be loud! (see my new 4g breaking thread
here )
I also have a set of alloys available cheap (see my old 4g breaking thread
here )
newkid has some lowering springs on standard shocks for sale at the moment, for a good price. Easy swap in.
Why do you want to replace the headlights?

Hi and welcome!
Glad you are happy with your new lude!
No rot is rare! give it a good polish and you will be amazed!
Don't rush into the modifications, you will have to determine your goal and taste first. There are so many ways to go
Also cheap is definitely not good, I have learned the hard way.
There is a good deal on wheels at the moment.. click on the "new post" link on top of the page and you will find it.
Also Ebay is your friend and at the same time your enemy. don't buy name/brand less stuff. Do research and use google instead of asking first
Your Backbox looks standard. can be an immitation Honda but it looks OEM.
Enjoy your Honda!

That is not necessarily true. It depends who is selling the stuff - some of us aren't out to rip people off and accept that second hand stuff can't attract the 'nearly new' prices that some wish it could.
nb: I know your comment wasn't directed at me, I haven't taken it that way, but just pointing out that there are some well priced parts to be had, out there

Don't really like the look of those alloys buddy but could be interested in the zorst and aerial if you have one?
Want to change the headlights out as they are getting moisture in them and laqure is coming off/fading. Not sure if I could easily refurb them
Not sure on what look I'm after at the moment. Quite tempted with drop and camber etc as I've never done that before but unsure if it will look daft. Will have to get some ideas on the pics threads. XD
I looked at that alloy thread earlier, they look quite tasty!!

Can't remember if the aerial is any good on the breaker, but will check. Is yours u/s then?
I'll let you know when the exhaust is off. Honestly, be under no illusions though... It is loud! A baffle on the tailpipe would probably help that a lot though.
Refurbing the headlights is definitely the way to go. Honestly, they come up a treat with some sandpaper, plenty of guys on here have done it.

No idea what U/S means?? Haha
Hmmmm well I've pm'd you on the zorst so let me know.
I think I'll give a refurb ago then and see what happens

might work out quite nicely. How do I go around stopping the moisture build up??
Cheers for the welcome guys, I'll get some better pics tomorrow. Another bonus too, no MOT advisories in last 3 years. Last one was done by a ford dealership so it wasn't a dodgy reach around job either
