its the autotensioner youve got to look out for it will fail before then belts do

Cheers, Vanzep. My restraint kind of slipped, see below...
Good news: I went out and tested whether the EML I had was just a loose connection to the VTEC solenoid. Seems it was.
Better news: I had intended to experimentally get into VTEC 3 or 4 times to check repair and then head home. Unfortunately the wrong bit of my brain got in charge and I had the first proper drive in a 'Lude. Somehow near Campsie Fell (Great roads north of Glasgow) I suddenly lost about 20 mins after which I found myself seemingly taking a breath for the first time. These things are an absolute weapon!
I'm going to put first driving impressions up in another thread ((Not! - edit 09.03.13) tomorrow) for anyone who hasn't driven one, but Hell Yeah!
(Only bad news is holding off driving until belted next month!)
