Driveshafts spline count
Driveshafts spline count
Does anyone know the drive shaft bore / spline count on the 5th gen prelude drive shafts?
I'm looking at some h22 civic shafts, I'll be putting the 5g prelude hubs on the civic so want to be sure I'm ordering the right shafts.
The options are;
32mm hub nut 26 spline
or
36mm hub nut 28 spline
I'm guessing is the latter as the prelude is a bigger car, but I want to be sure.

I don't think there is a different between 4g and 5g. On my 4g there is 36mm nut, and I'm using 5g shafts which I bought from forum member, but they arrived without nuts. According to manual I had to use new ones anyway
When I was buying hem I just ordered prelude ones and without specifying the year. So I think 36mm is the right size.
I know 32mm nuts are on civic driveshafts

That's why the manufacturer offers 2 sizesnewkid wrote:You sure 5g hubs fit? even if they do you'd need to make your own shafts up then as all off the shelf h22 civic shafts are designed for civic hubs

This helps tho, the 28 spline ones will work

Can I ask why your using the prelude hubs tho?

This is why I want to know the prelude spline count & bore size. A full set of teg hubs costs like £300, whereas I'll have a full set of prelude hubs already and if theyre the same as the teg ones its money in a puddle

I am! About time I got stuck in. From what I've found, the drivers side fits from the lude but the passenger is an inch too long. Wanted to use the lude hubs for 5 stud plus their beefierTed wrote:Who's doing this alex ? I have loads of civic/prelude shafts available for mis mstches
