checking gearbox oil?

How do I check the box oil level on a manual UKDM box? It's looking a but gunky on the top like it could be leaking but can't see a dip stick anywhere for it...

its fill to spill mate, the only way to check is to top it up

Hi mate, not sure if the UKDM are the same as the JDM ones, but when I changed the gear oil on mine I filled it back up through the filler plug on the side of the gear box. I think it was a 3/8" rachet square drive size. As far as I know thats the only way of checking it, but I may be wrong.

Which leads to my next questions which you can probably guess...

Where is the filling cap and is there a drain plug on the bottom? I have no idea when it was last done so might just be worth changing it out for fresh.

I was wrong the drain is a 3/8" socket by the looks of that picture
