Starter Motor Failing ?
LO All
A few weeks ago I put some petrol in and my first try to start the car just gave a skreeching noise
Started ok on second attempt.
Today however My Lude wouldn't start just made the same noise
After about 10 atempts it sluggishly started and then just managed to pick up and run.
I thought it may be the battery as the car wasn't driven over the weekend but battery seems fine all dash lights are bright and battery indicator is green on battery body so I'm guessing it might be the starter motor
How long do they normally last and how much should I pay to get a new one fitted
Cheers for your help peops

LO
How much would you want for the auto one
So far it's only happened twice so I need to confirm if this is the issue or not
Cheers

Do I need a special Honda hammersol-lude wrote:If it happens again give it a whack with a hammer and if it starts its probably the motor. Quick if your doing a replacement. However keep the old one and as NCCMUR said buy a brush kit when you get the chance and refurb it yourself.

you should have got the hammer with the red handle with the car - similar to the red key.toadster wrote:LODo I need a special Honda hammersol-lude wrote:If it happens again give it a whack with a hammer and if it starts its probably the motor.
