Auto's

Post by mart609 » Sat Feb 23, 2013 3:59 pm

I know Auto's and manuals have different ECU's but do auto's have a seperate ECU for the gearbox?
Or is it all built into the main ECU?

4th gen Prelude does. Near the legs of the passenger, I will try to find a picture to confirm.

Right, now thats clear. I think I need one
My wagons had the gearbox replaced at some point with a Lude autobox.
vtec kicks in late and it only revs to 6.5k and when it changes gear it drops down out of vtec.
So I'm thinking if I get the correct ecu for the box it should fix the issue?

It's a small metal gold box, about a 1/4 the size of the ECU, bolted vertically just behind the trim that Froidas shows.
