bb4 fogs not working

bb4 fogs not working

hi all, the fogs on my jdm bb4 dont seem to work, the fuse is good, and the relay works, the bulbs are also good, the earths are good, im not getting power down there, any ideass? thanks fred

Does the switch work, is that how you were checking the relay? Wiring? There isn't any easy way of knowing other than checking each part of the switch, wiring, fuses, relay, bulbs etc...

Okay merlin, the switch does work, i had the drivers side working, then i replaced the bulb in passenger side, now neither of them work :(

Do you have a multimeter or test lamp so you can test each bit? There are two fuse boxes, in the engine bay and drivers foot well. Did you check both?

Yea we got both, and yea all the fuses are good, im geussing its a bad multiplug, ive tested the lights, if i run power from the battery they work perfectly,

And i took the relay out and tested it the way it says to in the helms manual, i also did a continuety test on the main switch

Test the output from the relay in-situ, if its outputting power then your fault is in the cabling to the fogs, as you know they work.

If that's ok test the input signal to the relay and output of the dash switch.

ive narrowed it down to the wire from the relay to the fogs, ive tested everything idividually and it all works, shall have to trace that wire at the weekend,

im not sure i havent come across anything, ive taken them out and tested them individually and the both work fine, when theyre connected to the battery,
