Post by bb4life » Tue Feb 26, 2013 8:35 pm

U can run stock internals bro but i wouldnt dude.
On stock u would prob get about 280ish bhp.

Or get mahle gold series pistons their frm friendly.

This is what i would do at 300bhp mark.

Bore block 0.25mm
Mahle pistons
Scat rods
Clevite bearings
Supertech Springs and retainers
500cc injectors

But im going 430bhp so im using either cp pistons or wisecos, wet sleeves should be fun

mmmmm, im really tempted to take it out and go serious on this thing now, was only going to boost it for a bit of amusement, now i want to see how much poke i can squeze out of a fully built h22, cant help but feel my savings are going to disappear a bit rapid!

do what Im doing and turbocharge the standard engine in the car and in the meantime build a forged engine in your shed. will work out a bit more expensive overall but at least you can spread the cost of the build over a longer period and you can take your time over the engine to get everything spot on.

/\ Kind of what my supercharger project is - see how far I can push my standard engine, and build another on the side. 8)

Similar to what im doing also... but I will be building the engine that is currently in the car when it looses compression and drop my spare a5 in to keep her mobile!

I might just build one in the shed, and leave the current engine n/a that way ill save a bit of money and ive always got a strong standard unit to go back in if i blow the turbo'd unit up!
