5th Gen - Electric Mirrors & Folding mirror differences

Post by RattyMcClelland » Fri Mar 01, 2013 8:50 pm

Girls and Ladies...

One of my JDM folding mirror casings is cracked beyond economic repair so iv just got a set of UKDM leccy mirrors with the intention to respray the 3 casing parts of each mirror and then swaping them over to the JDM folding mech.

What are the differences? Are the casing parts identical.
Also iv just dismantled one UKDM mirror and i assume the best way to get the pull the plug out of the rubber base backing is to slice the rubber open wide enough to push the plug through.

exact same process as that bud, when i split the 4g ones there was no actual differences other than the motors themselves.
Thats great, completely forgot about that thread. That explains how to remove the wire. But the 5th Gen is different slightly in screw design but i think its safe to say there is no difference in the casings.
