There's an adjustment thread on the TB cable mounting, you'll it near see where the cable comes in and onto the 'wheel'.

So I just adjust it until it pulls the cable tighter and moves out by 5mm in total or 5mm further than it was? Sorry if I sound dumb here.

I personally would adjust it a little, get in the car, try the pedal 'slack', adjust again as necessary, rather than rely on a measurement. That said, don't take it up too tight, so that it effects your idle.

Good point.
When I'm off the throttle and the engine is running at about 2.5k, if I take up the slack on the pedal with the weight of my foot it pops and bangs like a rally car with anti-lag, especially if I'm on LPG.

If not done already- fit a set of ES motor mount inserts.

Sharpened up the response of my engine & made the gear change far sweeter.
~£30 well spent.

Stopped any drivetrain shunt- thus giving the impression of better throttle response!

make sure there is no slack in your throttle cable on your intake, 12mm spanner will sort that, believe it or not that will make a difference, plugs leads ect, squeeze every drop out of it in its standard form before modding.

Harder engine mounts and hard suspension and you will be happy.

Cheers for the additional suggestions 8-)

I'll look at getting some mounts because I think they're last their best anyway. Need to tweak my suspension a bit too, it's a bit sloppy atm, I think any stiffer and I wouldn't have any teeth left though, my road is a nightmare

Cheers for the offer Bri 8-) I'm far from local though unfortunately. It is in need of a good service etc though so I'll be replacing leads plugs etc come summer. Tax rebate should be in around the start of June so will see if it will allow for a trip to PAW for timing belt, valve clearances etc.

Rep all around 8-)

You don't need to shell out on new mounts if you buy inserts. ;)

My mounts are 14 years & 160k miles old. The inserts have now made them better than when they were new.

Easy & cheap fix!
