De cat ...sensor

I was about to fit my De cat but Noticed the cat has a sensor fitted into it....the De cat does not have a provision for the sensor....
should i fit a bung and refit the sensor in the de cat or fit de cat and leave the sensor tied up outta the way...what is it doing or is that the o2 sensor ??

its the cat temp sensor, just cut the wire and earth it on one of the bolts on the under side of the car to stop the CEL light from coming on, the o2 sensor is in the downpipe

I don't bother with the sensors on my decats, I've tried many times but the heat sensors are rusted in and not worth the efford of getting out and very pointless as it doesn't matter how hot a stainless tube gets :-)
