Gearbox Assistance Required 23rd March

Paul really

after doing mine i thought you would have had enough of doing gearboxes

had to lift my m2b4 in 4 times with one hand from the top

it would not slide in untill we saw that one of the locator sleeves had stayed in the block and we were trying to push one against the other

Knightmare didn't find it funny at the time but i did

carried my out of the scrap yard with one hand but don't try it with an auto box

i can pick one up but only make it about 2 steps before you have to put it down

LOL daryl, that day did my head in... you would think I'd run a mile from another gear box job. I've just found out it'll take four people to lift my accord box out...

But I can get my hands on two engine hoists now to make life easier lifting the box back up.... I've removed something like five box's now and refitted three i think..

You'll only need 6 ltrs I think to refill the box after refit....

i got your text gord, i dont see it being an issue. the only issue i have is getting the crane over to you. other tools not a problem.

studying the workshop manual for the 4th gen auto box removal. how much difference between the 4th auto and the 5th tiptronic?

I lifted my H22 box off there only 47kegs
