Mine is a V plate. Good news is i have a replacement section and getting it welded in. No point in messing about repairing rust. My S13 Nissan fell foul to the rust fairies. Im sure as hell not letting the prelude go that way.

I bet that screen was cut out with a cheese cutter badly that took it to bare metal and was refitted without any paint on it. Or 5th gens are just rusty bags of jobby with massive headlights. Unlike 4ths. ;)

I had same problem, badly fitted windscreen had caused the water to get in and rust

I would get the windscreen removed, rust fixed and get new one through insurance if you can

or same one refitted, by a decent fitter, watch him like a hawk

might want to consider new rubber too

Yeah there is the option of a new windscreen... it's cracked anyway, so could probably get insurance to replace it. Not sure what my glass excess is. Currently without income through as I'm finishing writing up my PhD, no idea when or where next pay cheque is going to be from, so that may have to wait.
