Bloody Hell, IT WORKS!!

Post by Thebusofwoe » Sun Mar 24, 2013 4:26 pm

Following my previous thread about the random fault codes I was getting I can now confirm that both the ABS and 4WS are now working perfectly. I was rooting around the engine bay fuse box looking for the fuses to pull to try a reset. I then noticed 3 wires that run next to the box was all chewed in half. Traced it down to the steering angle sensor. BINGO. BLOODY BINGO. I then continued to remove the fuse box and expose these wires, solder them up and reconnect the battery. Hey presto, lights go out and it works.

This was the result of a bloody field mouse that was after some lunch. Found the nest under the bonnet sound proofing. I'd call that a Resault.

Yea so am I. :D going to keep it now, no point in ripping it out if its working. I have seen mouse damage before but not to this extent. Big thanks for all who had an input. If I'd not gone to find a fuse, I wouldn't of found the damage.

:D

Bloody vermin - it's never Honda, is it?

Now all you've gotta do is get used to 4WS. Be warned; you'll probably not wanna go back to primitive cars with 2WS!

Thanks all :D. It's not easy digging around trying to strip and repair wires in 0c weather  especially as the mouse had not only chopped the wires but actually removed a large section of two of them . So always check that wires weren't on the menu if you get random fault codes for 4ws and abs lol.
