No problem's with looking at a damaged ECU. I actually quite like PCB repair, it's something you can really get your teeth into.

If you do want me to look at it - hit me with a PM and I'll give you an address to send it to.

Andy!!!

if you have a h22a jdm lump then your lude when new wa 197bhp over the years you would have lost atleast 10 horses maybe more
you would have to dyno now to see real output then once new parts fitted again ;)

remap chip may only be good for 2 to 5 bhp depend on engine condition,
fleabay induction = 1bhp if lucky even an aem v2 or cai is only good for 2 or 3bhp
and powerflow zorst ????? only time you will see large gains are mugen/jasma, hytech/rep, solidfab custom eg 300quid + mani's

sorry to say but gains are made from 68 or 70mm intakes, uprated cams, atr a7 heads etc etc ;)

i have all you are looking to do and she dyno'd at 186bhp 154f/lb torque so in 20 years had lost 11 horses

Don't worry @Donald, I probably deserved it!

I don't think I'm ready for NO2 yet @littlefeller, bit advanced for me just now. Bit disappointing I won't be seeing many gains from the mods, but at least it will be slightly more responsive & sound pretty badass too! :vtec:

Think I'll have to look into gas-flowing & porting, fast road cams, accord inlet manifold, and possibly uprated throttle body, if worthwhile?

Primarily, what makes a type S 217bhp? That would be a good place to start I think..

That would be fantastic if you'd be prepared to look at the ECU for me @bluejackhustler. I've heard good things about your wizardry! ;) Who knows, she may live again :!:

I'll PM you boss. Thankyou.

Don't worry, this engine feels strong! Just needs some tlc, with a pinch of cash money, and she'll be on her way.

Really should start with the fundamentals though. I assume this H22A engine is theoretically (new) good for 217bhp, just by replacing non-restrictive parts such as throttle body, inlet manifold, and cams. Was there anything else that contributed towards the extra 17bhp?

you are starting out the right way m8 and though you may not see fantastic gains it will free up the engine alot ;) but as you research the things that have been done to the ATR and the gen5 type S you will see what it takes to make the difference between 197bhp and 217bhp :P

keep on with your great attitude and you will build a lude i will be  of :P
