5th Gen BB8 2.2 prelude vti Tiptronic
Just gauging interest at the moment.....
Black Honda Prelude 2.2 vti tiptronic.
FULL RED LEATHER INTERIOR!!!!
Not half leather, it's the rare full version.
17in DOTZ alloy wheels with ok tyres.
Only done 74000 miles and doesn't burn ANY oil.
Just been serviced- BIG SERVICE.
Front discs n pads just changed.
She's a great car but has an issue with gearbox.
When driving as normal, I pull up at a set of light.
I put it into N whilst keeping my foot on the brake at all times.
When it's time to pull away, I put it back into drive and car car jerks forward twice.
It still drives fine and goes up n down the gear gears great.
Tiptronic works fine aswell.
When I then pull up at home and put into P, I can then not get it out of P, unless I switch her off n then on again.
I've been told its an easy fix, possibly just a solonoid.
The gearbox was fully refurbished at 50000miles and so was the torque converter so the issues should be small.
I'm thinking that I'd prefer to sell the whole car in one piece to some who wants to either break or restore it.
What do ya think?

Don't break it, swap the autobox for a manual one.

Fair enough. A manual prelude is a completely different car to an auto. I had an auto for my first prelude. The box gave out on it, didn't have much money at the time and the cheapest option was to buy another prelude and put the wheels (with I'd put new tyres on) and the new brakes all round on the new car.Vti Steve wrote:Nah I'm not gona go down that route. Thanks for the info but I've had a prelude n I don't think its for me.
I've had manual preludes for near 4 years now and I've enjoyed it a lot
