To clarify - that's In Car Entertainment - not frozen water

The hotter your car runs the more fuel efficient it is (to a point), by running it cooler you will hurt your fuel efficiency.

thanks for the comments - ive aquired an aircon fan from @newkid so im going to refit that so it works off the oem system (the aircon fan kicks in at peak temp in unison with the rad fan)-should take 5 mins to fit the fan and plug the connector in :) and i will take it from there. i am a bit of worrier when it comes to the lude so this might be enough to keep me happy for the time being

Sticking some Redline Water Wetter in the rad should bring down the temp by about 5 degrees, and you can also fit a 1.3 bar radiator cap to make it run slightly cooler.

Honestly though, I am surprised you think there's a problem if the car runs at the normal position on the temp gauge. It's a Honda and built to drive around central Tokyo in 5 hour traffic jams and 45 degree summer temps, with the AC on all the time, so the UK in April shouldn't be much of a problem...

If you want to get a car to worry about, try an MGF with its chocolate head gasket!

yeah ive still got aircon control unit in the car - ive refitted the aircon fan today but was wondering if it will still kick in now that ive removed all the pipes and stuff from the engine bay :? will i need to have my aircon switched on?
If not then i will fit a switch like @BMCC suggests.

Appreciate you actually don't need one Vanzep, but 4 pages and no-one gonna post a simple how-to to wire one up for the track savvy out there? :P

just to update and close this thread out.

Ive refitted the aircon fan and tested it out and now this comes on at the same time as the rad cooling fan so thats good enough for me - both fans running at the same time should help keep the temp down :)
