Hi guys...
Thanks for the replies - brakes are still binding...
Regarding the Master Cylinder, it was a new one, I got it from Nathan @ I-Tuned back in June of last year. Although it wasn't a prelude one, it was a 1" cylinder, for a Honda (I forget what model) and brand new.
I have since adjusted the brake pedal actuator rod but all that did was lower the pedal, there is still no play, the pedal is still rock hard and the brakes are still on solid at the front.
I have also completely (5 more litres of dot 4) bled the system again - just to be sure and on the advice of a friend, briefly removed the vacuum pipe from the right of the booster with still no joy..
One thing I have noticed is that when left overnight, the front wheels will spin freely again, but when any pressure is applied to the brake pedal, that locks them up again.
It's left me completely stumped :?

i had a similar problem a few years ago on my mk1 sierra 4x4 . one of the rear calipers kept binding so i replaced caliper and the master cylinder and it was still the same. replaced the flexi and it cured it. turned out the flexi had clapsed inside and wasnt allowing the fluid back through. might be worth checking .

Apologies for sounding dense, but you mean the hose from the caliper?

im guessing that master cylinder isn't compatible or something, personally id swap that again for a proper prelude one.

I've had a brake hose collapse in the past as well and it acts like a one way valve, not letting the fluid return from the caliper but it usually only affects one caliper in my experience.

Thanks Jon, I'll put the old hoses back on and bleed them through again to see if that solves the problem..
As far as the MC goes, I'm hoping its all good as it is brand new and was chuffin' expensive!
I'll look at that as a last resort as replacing that is a major arse-ache! :lol:
